National Citizen Award
National Citizen Service
The NCS (National Citizen Service) Autumn Programme is a fantastic opportunity for our students and specifically designed sixth form students in their first year of higer education.
This is a chance to gain independence, meet new people, and develop essential skills for the future. NCS Autumn, is 14 days long and will help students prepare for the world of work and university, through exciting outdoor activities, creative workshops, and volunteering with a local charity.
Universities and employers actively seek candidates who have taken part in the NCS programme, as they will be able to demonstrate skills which are essential in the modern world, such as public speaking, teamwork, and leadership.
The autumn programme begins on November 14th and is delivered by Port Vale Foundation Trust.
As a school, we are incredibly proud to be able to offer this service to all of our Y12 students.
“The NCS has helped me no end. From greater leadership and team building skills, to increased confidence and independence. These transferable skills have all helped to prepare me for my journey to university" Gabbie C
