The Governors of The King’s CofE Academy are seeking to appoint a PA to the Principal and Marketing Manager to provide high quality, administrative support for senior leaders and co-ordinate the marketing of the academy.

If you are looking for a new challenge and are a hardworking

professional with advanced organisational and clerical skills, we would welcome your application.

 

The post will involve:

· Providing confidential clerical and administrative support to the Principal, Senior Leadership Team and the Governing Body.

· Providing diary management to the Principal and members of the Senior Leadership Team

· Co-ordinating the marketing of the academy by actively creating and sourcing material for publicity, engaging the media and promoting through social media.

· Managing the school website

 

We are looking for someone with:

· Excellent numeracy, literacy and IT skills

· Experience in the development, management and operation of administrative systems

· A positive outlook with a sense of humour and a ‘can do’ attitude

· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, at all levels

· The ability to work to high standards, on your own initiative and also be effective as part of a team, often under pressure.

· A desire to play a full part in the life of the school and the local community

The governing board are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and efficient Assessment and Cover Officer to join our friendly support services team, to

· support the management of data for the school including, but not exclusively, assessment data;

· organise appropriate cover arrangements for classes as a result of planned and/or unplanned absences; and

· provide a range of complex administrative duties to support staff, students and parents in our growing school.

The successful candidate will:

· Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Have experience of data manipulation, analysis and reporting.

· Have the ability to remain calm under pressure.

· Take responsibility and accountability and have the ability to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position within these.

· Have excellent organisational skills and the ability to identify work priorities and manage own workload to meet deadlines.

· Be proficient using IT for a range of purposes, including admin systems such as SIMS and evidence of formal ICT training and development.

· Have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality and accuracy when handling data.

· Have excellent literacy and numeracy skills - NVQ 3 School Support or equivalent qualification or experience.

Previous experience of working in a school / academy / multi academy trust setting would also be an advantage.

The King’s CofE Academy is seeking to appoint a Minibus Driver to join the premises team, to drive the school minibus, providing a daily service to drop students off after the end of the school day at stops on a designated route.

The successful applicant would be required to work between 3pm and 4.30pm daily during term time. Additional casual hours may be available during the day to drive staff and students on school visits.

This post would combine well with the Site Security Office role advertised should applicants be looking for more hours.

The King’s CofE Academy is seeking to appoint a Site Security Officer to join the premises team, working under the direction of the Facilities Manager to provide a security service for out-of hours lettings (evening and weekends) to support the effective operation of the school.

Duties include:

  • Setting out equipment as required for lettings.

  • Being vigilant for health and safety concerns in and around the premises and taking appropriate action, including reporting of intruders as appropriate.

  • Ensuring the building is secured before leaving

  • Maintenance, cleaning and minor repairs as directed by the Facilities Manager.

· Planning and leading intervention and catch up tutoring.

· Supporting students’ learning, including working with individual students who have Educational Health Care plans

· Developing and implementing Individual Education Plans and reviewing progress.

· Cover for short notice teacher absence
