Home learning matters a great deal for student progress and is core to a great education, in which positive learning habits are formed for a life-time.
In addition to this, in order to fully reach their potential, students should also be seeking and undertaking other learning opportunities at home or outside of school. These include making use of powerful online platforms such as GCSE Pod, MathsWatch and Uplearn (A Level Maths, Chemistry, Biology, English).
As well as complementing the school’s curriculum, these tasks help students to develop persistence and resilience which also supports their approach to learning within school.
Not only is home learning important to enrich learning in the classroom, it also supports students when they are absent from school. Should a student be unable to attend to school however, are well enough to do so, we strongly advise that they complete work either provided by staff via WEDUC or on the curriculum overviews as outlined below.
If your child is working from home, please find guidance below surrounding the provision The King’s has put into place to support you with home learning.

Each of the icons below takes you to a different aspect of home study. The icon you will use most is the one labelled SUBJECT STUDIES. Click on this link below to find out how you can continue to follow the curriculum in the subjects that you study.
Please note that as well as using this website page you can also keep in touch with what's taking place back in the classroom by checking in each day with WEDUC. Here you will be able to pick up homework activities that are being sent by your class teachers.
