NVQ Levels 1, 2, and 3 in Food Preparation and in Food and Beverage Services.
The Fifth on Fourth is a training restaurant established in 2003 in what was Clough Hall Technology School. Seventeen years later, with a new building and a new school (The King’s) it is still going strong. During that period hundreds of Fifth on Fourth graduates have established successful careers in the catering industry and thousands of customers have enjoyed high quality meals at an attractive price. The facility is managed by Ms Sarah Collins, who oversees the training of sixth form students in both kitchen and front-of-house disciplines.
Catering and Hospitality is one of The UK’s fastest growing industries. At The Sixth Form at King’s School we offer NVQ Levels 1, 2, and 3 in Food Preparation and in Food and Beverage Services. These qualifications will give you an important edge when seeking employment opportunities.
Normally, students will spend time both in the kitchen (for food preparation) and in our in-house restaurant (hospitality). However, the course content can be structured according to individual students’ needs.
