Curriculum

Whole School Curriculum Intent

Our intent is that the school curriculum:

•    provides a broad and balanced curriculum that is comprehensive, inclusive and accessible to all students
•    creates opportunities for students to learn how to be successful, to gain and hone transferable skills, supported by relevant subject knowledge
•    enables high standards of academic achievement where outcomes empower students to progress into Higher Education, apprenticeships and ultimately, the world of work
•    affords opportunities for all students to develop a high level of literacy and numeracy required for success in the wider curriculum and in adult life
•    broadens students' perspectives and promotes their sense of moral and social responsibility through a range of spiritual, moral, social and cultural opportunities
•    ensures that all students are safe and understand how to stay safe; wellbeing and mental health is at the heart of our curriculum
•    cultivates a strength of character, and resilience that will help students to make well-informed choices and overcome the challenges they are likely to encounter in life
•    provides an appropriate range of opportunities and experiences to inspire students to succeed in the next stage of their academic career
•    shares with all our students the life giving message of Jesus allowing them to develop an understanding of and deep respect for the beliefs and cultures of others.
