Student Cabinet
 

The aim of the school council is to make a practical and positive contribution to the development of a successful school in which students are partners in running the school. The school will benefit as a whole by improving the quality of life for all members of the school community. The school council pupils should know what their school council has done to make life in school better for everyone.

School Council representatives are elected each academic year through tutor groups. The council groups are then split into the following:

  • Lower school council - Year 7, 8, 9
  • Upper school council - Year 11, 10
  • Sixth form voice - Year 11, 12 and 13.
  • Ambassadors
  • Welcome ambassadors front desk and special events
  • Healthy schools group
  • Curriculum group
  • Behaviour group
  • Eco schools group  

    What are the school council representatives involved in?  
  • Expressing views to the Headteacher, teachers and governors
  • Organising fundraising events, for example Children in need
  • Improving the appearance of the school
  • Improving teaching and learning within the school
  • Creating a school garden with vegetables and herbs
  • Designing a new school council website
  • Rewards trips to Cadburys world, The Trafford Centre, Star City and more.
  • Working towards the School Christmas fair and Summer fete
  • Creating excellent Community links
  • Organising Christmas lunches for the elderly in the local community.
