Position Title: Inclusion Support Assistant                       

Start Date: 1st September 2019  

Hours: 28.5 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks + 6 days)               

Contract: Temporary - Fixed term until August 2020 in the first instance

Remuneration: Grade 4, SCP13 (Actual salary £11,582 p.a.)

The Governors of The King’s CE (A) school are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Inclusion Support Assistant toprovide specific support to the teaching staff in the care of students and management of the classroom. Working either in the classroom or outside the main teaching area you will act as a mentor to named individuals, (including students withEnglish as an additional language (EAL)),assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and contribute to raising standards by ensuring high expectations.

The Governors particularly welcome applicationsfrom candidates who are able to uphold and promote the Christian ethos of this Church of England school.

This post is dependent on receipt of funding and is temporary until 31st August 2020 in the first instance.

Inclusion Assistant Apprentice

Position Title: Inclusion Support Assistant Apprentice                

Start Date: 1st September 2019  

Hours: 30 hours per week, term time only (38 weeks + 6 days)                  

Contract: Temporary - Fixed term until August 2020 in the first instance

Remuneration: Apprentice Pay Scale

Working as an apprentice Inclusion Support Assistant you will provide support to teachers and SEN Professionals in preparing for lessons and helping create a safe and enjoyable learning environment for all our students. During lessons, you will work together with the class team to support students with classroom activities. Excellent communication and enthusiasm will be key in supporting all students to progress, achieve their potential. You will support all areas of the curriculum differentiated to meet the needs of the students within the classroom. You will also accompany teaching staff and students on trips and other out-of-school activities.

You will also act as a role model for students and be a positive influence on their behaviour and performance at school. So it is important that you demonstrate maturity and excellence in all you do.

At the end of your apprenticeship you will achieve the nationally recognised Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools qualification, as well as valuable work experience that will provide you with the best chance possible of being offered a full-time Inclusion Support Assistant position.

Minimum Qualification: GCSE Grade C or above in English and Maths.
